Who may pray these
All of the prayers on this page may be prayed privately by any of the faithful — prayers of protection, intercession, and deliverance addressed to God and His saints. They are distinct from the solemn Rite of Exorcism, which belongs to the priest alone, appointed by his bishop. Pray these with faith, in a state of grace where possible, and with trust in the victory of Christ.
The Rallying Prayer
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.Amen

To Our Lord & Our Lady
Blessed be God. Blessed be His Holy Name. Blessed be Jesus Christ, true God and true Man. Blessed be the Name of Jesus. Blessed be Jesus in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar. Blessed be God in His angels and in His saints.Amen
Holy Mary, full of God's presence, take into your hands this knot which torments me, and by your grace and intercession, undo it. You are my hope. Untie the knots in my life and set me free to love and serve your Son.Amen

A note on deliverance prayers
Private prayers of deliverance ask God, in His mercy, to free us from the influence of the evil one. They do not command demons directly in the manner reserved to an appointed exorcist. If you are experiencing grave or persistent affliction, do not rely on private prayer alone — seek the counsel of a faithful priest, together with appropriate medical and psychological care.
